Evening Conference
Join us for an inspiring evening of exploration and reflection on the Biblical Landscapes of Gwynedd, and Wales in a conference hosted in the elegant PJ Hall at Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµAPP. Co-organised by the National Centre of Religious Education for Wales and the Institute for the Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµAPP of Welsh Estates, this unique event brings together scholars, artists, musicians, and the public to explore the deep connections between the Bible, landscape, identity and Welsh culture.
The evening opens with an display from Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµAPP Archives and Special Collections in the Council Chamber Corridor from 17:30, followed by a welcome from Dr Gareth Evans-Jones and Alex Ioannou, along with an organ prelude in PJ Hall at 18:00.
Fascinating discussions will be offered by Dr Martin Crampin (CAWCS) and Professor Angharad Price.
An exhibition and reception space will showcase projects from the SNPA Place Names Project, Church in Wales, Palas Print, CAWCS, and more. Musical interludes, introduced and conducted by Joe Cooper (Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµAPP and St Deiniol’s Cathedral), will feature evocative choral performances themed around Christian landscapes in Wales. The evening concludes with powerful poetry performances by award-winning writers, Siôn Aled and Siân Northey, inspired by Cadfan’s Pilgrim Path.
All are warmly welcome to this event which is free of charge, but registration is required.
