Volunteer
Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP encourages reciprocal, lifelong relationships with its former students and is proud to have alumni all over the world who continue to be engaged with their alma mater after they leave the University.
For many, Ï㽶ÊÓƵAPP has made a significant difference to their professional and personal lives and they have a real desire to bring other Bangorians together and foster goodwill towards the University. Alumni volunteers are typically former students who have stayed connected with us and who share an interest in, and concern for, the growth of the University’s profile as a world-class institution.
The Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO) is here to help support alumni who wish to give back to Bangor. Volunteers are advocates and enthusiastic communicators of Bangor’s mission and vision and alumni volunteers have helped the University through activities such as:

organising and assisting at reunions and events

supporting students by giving career talks, providing CV/Job application advice etc

helping the University to re-connect with other alumni

providing alumni profiles

supporting research at the University through business links

setting up new alumni groups in their area
-
helping with student recruitment activities (careers fairs, open days etc)
The Development and Alumni Relations team have prepared a handbook for alumni who wish to set up volunteer groups to support DARO’s activities. We are available to discuss and advise on any aspect of the information contained within the handbook and will work collaboratively with volunteers on proposed activities.
