Have you ever wanted to learn another language? Now is your chance to do so.

Our courses are available to �㽶��ƵAPP staff and students and those outside the University.

Sessions will be commencing in October 2025.

Languages for All offers a range of evening classes in three languages (NOTE information in these links is to be updated):

French Spanish Chinese(Mandarin)

These 10-week language courses are designed to cater for a variety of levels - from beginners to learners who may want to brush up rusty language skills and/or continue from GCSE/A-level studies.

*Courses run subject to minimum numbers. Some courses are very popular - in cases where courses are over-subscribed we will operate enrolment on a first-come-first-served basis. The minimum age is 18.

Languages for All Timetable

Each language module consists of 10 sessions, one session/week. Some courses are offered face-to-face, and some are offered online. Please scroll down to check which courses are available in each format.

SEMESTER 1

Start: 6.10 pm. Break: 7.00-7.10 pm. End: 8 pm.
First session: week commencing 6th Oct 2025.
Reading week (1 week, no sessions): week commencing 3rd Nov 2025.
Final session: week commencing 15th Dec 2025.

SEMESTER 2

Start: 6.10 pm. Break: 7.00-7.10 pm. End: 8 pm.
First session: week commencing 2nd Feb 2026.
Reading week (1 week, no sessions): week commencing 2nd March 2026.
Spring break (3 weeks, no sessions): week commencing 30th March 2026.
Final session: week commencing 4th May 2026.

Please note: (1) Courses run subject to minimum numbers; (2) Many classes are popular - as class numbers are limited, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. We recommend you enrol as soon as possible to avoid disappointment; (3) While the University makes every effort to ensure that the information provided is correct, the timetables may be subject to change.
