About This Course
This LLM International Business Law and Sustainability is perfect for those who are interested in international commercial law and how private law intersects with sustainability.
In an increasingly interconnected world, the intersection of law, business and sustainability has become critical. The LLM International Business Law and Sustainability provides a unique opportunity to shape the future of global commerce while championing sustainable practice that promotes social responsibility alongside climate priorities.
During your studies you will gain the legal knowledge and skills to succeed both within and outside the legal sector. You’ll learn how to apply theory to practice, tackling real world legal issues in the context of business and sustainability, applying learning to complex and contemporary legal issues, with a strong focus on the developing sustainability debate. Our forward-thinking curriculum integrates aspects of international business law with sustainability principles, providing a comprehensive understanding of how the global legal landscape is evolving.
Law is a construct of the environment within which it operates. This includes reference to ethical, social, political, environmental and economic norms. More recently sustainability has emerged as a commercial driver in the operation of business both large and small. Sustainability extends beyond merely environmental concerns, encompassing a much wider debate to include climate action, societal concerns, employment practices and supply chain management, among others. The sustainability debate has reached board room level and will shape legislative decisions deep into the 21st Century.
The programme will provide a contemporary analysis of the law, covering legal issues relevant to Wales, the UK and globally, preparing students for a diverse range of career choices from Law, Business and Finance, Education and Public Policy. Students will have the opportunity to research, discuss and write on the impact of sustainability in the context of modern business.
